About Us

Hello Women Golfers,

Welcome to the 2018 season of the CommonGround Women’s Golf Club (CGWGC).  As president, I would like to introduce the other members of the club’s board of directors who work hard to organize our season of tournament play: Vice President and Membership Chair: Georgette Castillo, Secretary: Julie Laitos, Treasurer: Linda Boone, At-Large: Susan Goddard, Tournament Chairs: Jeanne Surbrugg and Barbara Carey, Handicap Chair: Amy Wesoloskie and our Social Chair: Elaine Gampel.  Please don’t hesitate to contact any one of us with questions or suggestions you might have. My mission this year is to facilitate play day tournaments that are simple and fun; enable opportunities to  socialize with new people who share the love of the game; and provide opportunities to increase our knowledge of the game of golf.

With the weather giving us some intermittent warm days, I am already thinking about golf and looking forward to the upcoming season. Please note that our play day has been changed back to Tuesday due to a membership-wide vote.  We hope this change will make it easier for all who want to play.

It’s time to sign up! League fees remain at $90 for Regular members and $45 for Associate members. If you are a previous member of the league, please just send your check (made out to CGWGC) to Linda Boone, 8762 E. 29th Place, Denver, CO 80238.  Important note: you do not need to re-register on  Registration fees must be received by March 25th in order to remain an active member. Everyone who registers by March 15th will be entered into a drawing for a free round of golf!

If you are a previous member and have not yet created a profile on, you can do that by going to, "Create Profile."  This will enable you to use all of the functions available on the site, including hole-by-hole record keeping and other neat stuff.

IF YOU ARE A NEW MEMBER:  We have two different levels of membership.  First, our regular membership is $90.00 annually and allows you access to participate in the weekly play days on Tuesdays at CommonGround.  Regular membership makes you a member in the Colorado Women's Golf Association (CWGA) and you will be assigned a GHIN number that will allow you to track your scores and establish a handicap.  Our other level of membership is called an Associate Membership and is only $45.00 annually.  The Associate Membership gives you membership in the CWGA and a GHIN number only.  If you would like to sign up for our Club, please send a check for the membership level that you choose (payable CGWGC) to Linda Boone, 8762 E. 29th Place, Denver, CO 80238...Please include a note that includes your name, selected membership level, phone number, email, and address.  The club will set you up with a GHIN number and activate your membership.  Once you are activated, someone in our Club will contact you with your GHIN number so you can establish a profile at in order to start tracking your scores.

Please note that Common Ground offers the Women’s Club members a discounted rate on our Tuesday play days of $37 per round. For other days you play the course, be sure to consider a punch card of ten rounds for $375. This season, on play days, we are being offered a small bucket of balls for only $3.00 to help us warm up. Please take advantage of this generous deal!

We always welcome new members, so if you know someone who would like to play, please encourage them to join!  Our kick-off “Meet & Greet” is April 10th.when you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about our club, get informed of any changes to the rules, and socialize with old friends and meet new ones. Feel free to bring potential members. We meet at 9 a.m. at CGGC.

I look forward to another great season!  See you April 10th!

 Kit Bazley, President
